Clarion Gaming’s iGB brand has been recognised for the way in which it successfully spearheaded the return of in-person events in the gaming space following its confirmation as a finalist in the Best International Trade Show category in the 2022 edition of the prestigious Exhibition News Awards. The finals which will see iGB Live!/iGB Affiliate Amsterdam line up against international events from the hospitality, energy and manufacturing sectors, take place 18 March, less than a month ahead of iGB Affiliate London welcoming the international industry to the ExCeL Exhibition Centre (13 -14 April).

The number of industry professionals registering to attend the upcoming iGB Live! and co-located iGB Affiliate Amsterdam (The RAI 28 September – 1 October) increased by 40% week-on-week as news broke that caretaker Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s cabinet had confirmed that travellers who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 would not have to quarantine upon arrival in the Netherlands even if they have visited a country with high levels of coronavirus infection. The new policy, which Clarion Gaming Portfolio Director, Naomi Barton described as a ‘game changer’ will take effect from September 22.

Clarion Gaming, organisers of iGB Live! and the co-located iGB Affiliate Amsterdam, which are being held at the RAI, Amsterdam (28 September – 1 October) has confirmed that fully vaccinated attendees travelling from the UK will qualify for a special travel ban exemption and will be eligible for exemption from the quarantine obligation on arrival in the Netherlands. Qualifying UK visitors join those from the EU alongside many other non-EU countries including Israel, the US and Ukraine in not having to quarantine.

The drop in the number of Covid positive tests in the Netherlands (and the consequent reduction in the number of patients requiring hospital treatment) coupled with the speed of the country’s Covid-19 vaccination programme have prompted a significant relaxation of the rules relating to the staging of indoor events.
