Olena Vodolazhko is a Ukrainian attorney and gambling regulation expert with more than 20 years of legal experience across various fields of law. She was a member of Ukraine’s Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL) for five years and was involved in the gambling sector from the very beginning of the gambling legalization process in Ukraine. During her time at KRAIL, she directly participated in the development of the regulatory framework for the gambling industry, coordinated licensing processes, and served as Acting Head of the Commission for more than 8 months.
Olena is also a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL). Prior to her work in public regulation, she practiced as an attorney and legal advisor in multiple areas of law.
She is the founder of Fair Gaming Space — a unique Ukrainian initiative focused on responsible gambling, player protection, stigma reduction, education, and evidence-based approaches to gambling harm prevention. The project aims to build open and honest dialogue around gambling-related harm in Ukraine, develop practical support and educational tools, and promote a more human-centered and modern approach to responsible gaming policy and public communication.
