Andrew has over 30 years’ experience as a gaming, regulatory and alcohol licensing lawyer. Andrew was in house counsel at Rank, one of the UK’s largest gambling operators, for over 15 years. Andrew joined Jeffrey Green Russell’s betting and gaming team in June 2013 and has been Director of Betting and Gaming in the regulatory solutions team at Gordon Dadds LLP since October 2015. Through his operational experience he has invaluable insights he uses to assist clients with regulatory compliance issues and the drafting of Procedures and Policy documentation. He advises on all aspects of UK gambling regulation (remote and land-based), including regulatory investigations. He advises overseas clients on the UK remote gaming licensing regime and their applications to the UK Gambling Commission for Operating Licences and on-going compliance. He advises clients on the constantly evolving regulatory regime in the UK and the frequent revisions to the Gambling Commission’s Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP) and linked regulatory legislation. This has included the implementation of the UK legislation to transpose the 4th EU AML Directive. Together with other regulatory colleagues he has been advising clients in connection with regulatory investigations on a range of consumer protection issues.
