Dr. Evert Montero Cárdenas is a Business Administrator who specialises in the management of healthcare and social organisations, and management training. He has over thirty years’ professional experience in the public and private sectors, primarily within the realms of social welfare and public policy. He also has experience of the running and monitoring of entities responsible for generating welfare revenue from gaming in Colombia.
Dr. Montero counts amongst his achievements the roles of Advisor to the National Health Superintendent’s Office on the topic of ceded income, of National Director of Gaming for ECOSALUD and ETESA, and of Advisor to the Comptroller General and the National Senate. He has been recognised for his leadership in the sector and his active participation in the defence and position of gaming as an economic activity both at national and international level.
He has been President of Fecoljuegos, the association which unites Colombian casino and bingo business owners since 2014. In this role he has triggered initiatives for the modernisation and professionalization of the sector, and has contributed to increasing awareness of it at government and public level.
